Abstract

Content: This paper describes a new type Electronic Controlled Power Steering system which is mounted on MITSUBISHI SIGMA ‘84 model.

This system is a high-tech power steering system realizing such ideal steering characteristics as light steering effort at low vehicle speed, firm steering feeling at high vehicle speed, and “Direct” steering feeling according to steering angle.

This system consists of a unique hydraulic control system and a control unit.
