- Automotive electronics and the rapidly advancing technologies involved in these systems are requiring greater and greater protection from other systems within and outside invasion. High performance electrically active engineering compounds are being utilized in some areas now and many more will be needed in the very near future. New issues occur with each advance in automotive technology, with some related to new safety devices becoming more common. This paper will deal with electrostatic discharge and EMI/RFI shielding, and present material technology which addresses these needs.
