Authors Abstract
Content
The aerodynamic influence of wing component actuators on a 30% Formula-1 racing car model is discussed. Results from a rolling road wind tunnel test facility indicated that the actuators changed the lift coefficient by up to 2.6%, and the longitudinal location of the lift force by up to 2.4%. The drag coefficient was not significantly affected by the actuators.
