Authors Abstract
Content
Most quality professionals are thoroughly familiar with the theory and practice of quality costs, yet many have not been able to implement a truly effective cost of quality program. This paper will deal with the day-to-day trials and tribulations of putting in a cost of quality system. The paper will discuss the research which is necessary before a program is conceived; the information and presentation required to sell the concept; and the introductions which must be conducted with subordinates, peers and superiors. The paper will discuss the reactions which can be expected as the presentations are made; the questions which are likely to be asked; and the most appropriate answers to provide.
