AN ECONOMICAL APPROACH TO AUTOMATED FLIGHT TEST DATA REDUCTION

In support of flight test activities of the Coast Guard Short Range Recovery (SRR) helicopter, the HH-65A, Aerospatiale Helicopter Corporation (AHC) is utilizing a low-cost, high performance mini-computer based system for flight test data reduction and analysis. A number of advantages have evolved with this system over the more expensive traditional large system approach. This paper provides an introduction to Aerospatiale's approach to automated data reduction and to the capabilities of this system.
