Design and Simulation of an easy bike charging station in Lubbock, Texas is discussed in this paper. This study outlines the utilization of an easy bike charging station integrated with solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage systems (BESS) to improve grid stability by regulating voltage and frequency. The charging station is designed to have 24 DC fast charging ports and charge each easy bike simultaneously having the capacity to charge up to 100 easy bikes daily. The integration of the battery energy storage system is to ensure consistent power availability at all times, even during periods of low solar radiation. The paper shows the aspects of grid stability, which includes voltage and frequency regulation. System Advisor Model (SAM) was used in this study, and IEEE standard compliance was ensured in all calculations.
