Abstract

Design sensitivity analysis plays a central role in structural optimization. This paper presents a differential formulation of dynamic sensitivity analysis with respect to structural parameters based on matrix perturbation of dynamic analysis and a pseudo inverse for modification of dynamic model parameters is dicussed. According to the methods presented here, the results have been obtained for the modification of dynamic model parameters of a truck frame. These results are very useful for engineers to grasp the overall dynamic behavior in bending and torsion and show that the modified model is more accurate than the ordinary analytical model. So the procedure presented here is valid. These procedures are also important in optimization design and interactive computer-aided design for the complex vehicle structure.
