- Content
- The paper describes a heat-insulated direct injection c. i. combustion system (duothermic combustion) suitable for various kinds of fuels, giving the diesel engine a very high specific power. Low fuel consumption and low emission output combine economical and environmental needs. The paper describes the duothermic combustion and gives some examples of practised applications. Special effort is made to explain the system's good potential to face the future challenges.
