- This paper presents a Distributed Regenerative Active Suspension System (D-RASS) that integrates active suspension control with suspension-level energy regeneration in a predictive architecture. Each wheel employs an electro-hydraulic actuator interconnected through hydraulic cross-coupling and a shared DC bus, enabling coordinated force generation and bidirectional energy flow. Suspension forces are generated via controlled pressure differentials, while rebound energy is converted into electrical energy through motor–pump units operating in generator mode.Road-preview intelligence from LiDAR, radar, and geospatial data enables anticipatory suspension control. The centralized controller optimizes ride comfort, handling stability, and energy recovery by adapting force and energy flow strategies in real time. The proposed system establishes a unified framework for predictive suspension control and energy-aware vehicle dynamics.
