This paper was made up from the prepared discussions and author closures of the Symposium Papers. The Symposium was held in Toronto, Canada on November 14, 1978 as part of the SAE International Fuels and Lubricants Meeting.

The seven papers presented at the Symposium were bound in a booklet. These discussions and author closures provide a supplement to the bound papers, SAE SP-434 and ASTM STP 621-S3.
