Diesel Engine and Highway Truck Noise Reduction

This paper presents the results of the Detroit Diesel Allison basic engine noise reduction program and the noise evaluation of a series of highway trucks. Prediction of noise source levels and recommendations to meet various legislative levels are summarized.
