The Development of The New Observation Helicopter(XOH-1)

This paper shows the draft of technology applied to the XOH-1. In 1992 the TRDI initiated the development of the new observation helicopter XOH-1 with Kawasaki Heavy Industry, Ltd. (KHI) as the prime contractor. The first prototype helicopter flew on Aug. 6, 1996. Now development is in the engineering and operational test phase by the TRDI and Japan Ground Self Defense Force (JGSDF).
