- A two-coat system has been developed showing some potential for application over engine component parts. This system consists of a non-chromate epoxy primer and an aluminized epoxy topcoat. Results of tests conducted show that this combination not only offers excellent corrosion, chemical and heat resistance but also excellent adhesion over aluminum and magnesium alloys. These two alloys are widely used as component parts of engines.
