Authors Abstract
Content
The most common method of acquiring data for a computer model of a vehicle is from Computer-Aided-Engineering (CAD) and component databases. First tier suppliers and others in the automotive industry often want to understand full vehicle behavior but may not have access to detailed vehicle parametric data. This paper describes an alternative method to achieve a reliable and correlated vehicle model. It also provides a description of the component properties required, the static and dynamic conditions evaluated and the correlation techniques used.
