Authors Abstract
Content
The use of Plastic Media Blasting (PMB) for the removal of organic coatings is increasing. This method has many advantages over chemical stripping and other conventional organic media, but the user should be aware that the media could become embedded in cracks, defects, seams, and joints. To address media embedment, a fluorescent media has been developed and patented. Data will be presented concerning the ability of the fluorescent media to detect crack defects.
