- The new high purity magnesium alloys have shown their ability to withstand strongly corrosive environments as far as general corrosion is concerned. However, avoiding or minimizing galvanic corrosion is primarily a matter of design and materials selection. Experimental data and suggested fastener design for improved protection against galvanic corrosion of magnesium are presented.
