ABSTRACT

The main objective of this paper is to describe the work done in the Polish unmanned helicopter ILX-27 project. The paper will present the conceptual design and the next stage - fabrication of fuselage components including composite and metal structures. Attention will also be given to the manufacturing technology, including mass and strength optimization, incorporation of new materials and tests. The usage of new graphic CAM software and CNC tools, in order to reduce time and costs, as well as rising the quality of particular elements, will be crucial for this paper. Modern technologies and materials, including composites, which considerable allow to obtain economical and reliability improvement, will also be a subject of discussion.
