Design Considerations for Mechanical Front Wheel Assist Agricultural Tractors

A discussion of vehicle design considerations in the development of mechanical front drive agricultural tractors based on the International Harvester 50 Series AWD models. Design and test criteria are discussed, as well as field data and deficiencies discovered during the development program.
