Electrical wiring harnesses are most frequently designed as an afterthought. When all other designs are complete and components properly located, the electrical wiring is added. Today, with increased complexity, environmental hazards, build-ability, serviceability, and ever increasing labor costs, it is becoming a necessity to plan the wiring system in the early design stages of the vehicle.
