Abstract

Content: The goal of this paper is to provide a design of a CAN to IEEE 802.11 wireless network interface for automotive and other applications. The design uses Infineon C167CR 16-bit microcontroller with built-in CAN, the AMD Am79C930 Medium Access Controller, and the Intersil PRISM chipset designed for IEEE 802.11 wireless LAN.
