Authors Abstract
Content
The Delco Remy Freedom Battery introduces a new generation of automotive batteries that are completely independent of owner care. Described are new materials, chemistry and manufacturing processes used to produce a battery that is highly efficient and completely maintenance free.
Characteristics of the battery permit installation in today's underhood environments, plus new flexibility for remote mounting. Improved strength and lower weight eliminate many battery handling problems during assembly.
In the aftermarket, acid filling and associated OSHA requirements are eliminated. Improved stand characteristics permit long shelf life without deterioration. Car owners are set free from concern with battery maintenance, provided plenty of cold weather starting power and assured high resistance to heat and vibration damage.
