CV-22 OSPREY FLIGHT PATH CUEING FLIGHT DIRECTOR SYSTEM

The U.S. Air Force Special Operations Forces V-22 (CV-22) provides flight director cueing to the aircrews that is flight path based. This design provides flight directed altitude and speed error cueing, which are referenced to the FPV symbol. Rapid prototyping and part task simulation were conducted to evaluate aircrew acceptability and performance using the CV-22 flight path cueing flight director system. The results indicate that a flight path cueing flight director system is necessary for the operational suitability of the CV-22.
