- Vehicle network architectures are migrating toward the use of multiple vehicle networks. Cost, application differences, lessons learned, and industry experiences have pushed aside the original philosophy of using the single vehicle-wide network that was attached to J1850. This paper discusses the current state of vehicle network architectures, the rationale behind the use of multiple vehicle networks, and discusses the current business and technical issues.
