Creativity-Tool for Tomorrow An Essay

This not a typical SAE technical paper, although it is being published in the same format and numbered series as those important documents. It is, however, a essay on the human mind and man's attempts to reach back for that “extra thought” to solve a problem. Engineers have been blessed by their creative abilities to turn technology into the manservant of humankind. Yet, too often we entrust to these servants more responsibility than they can logically assume. This essay is but an exhortation for all of us to use the resources that our creation has provided us and to bring technology to its knees, begging to serve, and subject to our needs.
