Recently, the safety of the train is becoming one of the most important aspects due to train crash accident at domestic and foreign emerges. So we are looking for ways to protect the passengers more safety. The train seat should protect a passenger from impact by itself because there is no seat belt. So, in this paper present the additional energy absorbing structure in the supporting leg parts in order to improve seat's energy absorption and passenger's safety. To evaluate this, it compared existing seat injury result with seat with energy absorbing device injury result. In addition, existing seat and safety seat integrity was evaluated by sled test. Computational simulation will be implemented and simulation will be verified by experimental sled testing. Computational simulations are performed with the explicit finite element code Ls-Dyna.
