Present world's most concern able problem is air pollution, it has become necessary to find and develop new techniques which will reduce it. One of the main causes of air pollution is emissions coming out from the vehicles. This concept uses the air engine technology for the idling mode of an IC engine. The air compressor unit will store the air in its compressed form at very high pressure. When the engine comes to the idling mode after some interval automatically or manually the engine operations will be switched over to the compressed air operations [12]. The high pressure air will be injected inside the engine cylinder and will drive the piston. The air will be exhausted out through the exhaust manifold. During this operation the emission will contain maximum amount of air only. When the time comes to move the vehicle furthermore the compressed air operations are switched over manually to the normal IC engine operations.
This concept will help to reduce the harmful emissions coming out during idling mode of an IC engine considerably.
