Abstract
Content
A survey of the use of composite structures for noise control, particularly in an aircraft cabin, is presented in this paper. The various sources of the noise entering the cabin and the measures to deal with them are considered. Guidelines for optimum distribution of masses in the skin, septum and trim panel, and for choosing thickness of insulation materials and airspaces are presented.
