Currently, consumer information electronics goods have been rapidly expanding in the marketplace. The major products are personal computers, cellular mobile telephones, mobile information devices, facsimiles, etc. Characteristic of this field is a fierce marketing competition concerning short product life span and a keen struggle regarding price reduction. At this time, I would like to explain the four important key factors pertaining how we can survive in the fierce market competition in the Japanese cellular mobile telephone market.
The four key factors are as follows: 1) Product planning; 2) Product development period; 3) Cost reduction; and 4) Research and development of key element technology.
