Authors Abstract
Content
During the next decade Central Tire Inflation Systems will become available on more vehicles for improved ride and performance.
Currently the military and some on-off highway forestry logging operations use the systems to improve vehicle performance and reduce vehicle and road damage. Nearly all Russian military vehicles have CTI Systems.
However, adaptation of military systems is needed to address performance and operational issues of commercial users and vehicle manufacturers.
CTI is a simple concept; however, the numbers of vehicle systems involved make Implementation of the system difficult. This paper will address some of the functional and operational issues that influence CTI installations.
