With current calibration practices, a backfire like abnormal engine noise was observed during certain transient driving patterns. This paper presents a novel calibration methodology designed to eliminate such abnormal noise. The proposed approach involves a step-by-step transient calibration refinement, making the calibration process more robust and adaptable to any driving behaviour.
