Authors Abstract
Content
Rapid Prototyping is the process by which a number of related technologies are used to fabricate physical objects or models from CAD CAM data sources. These methods are unique. They add and bond materials in layers to form objects. These systems are also referred to as “solid free form fabrication” and “layered manufacturing”.
This paper explores the benefits of rapid prototyping in the CAD CAM process and discusses key advancements in CAD CAM software.
