Building Engineering in China

Since 2000 the automotive industry in China has rapidly matured. To win in China, a company must have a strong, local engineering team that understand the dynamics of the market, can support customer requirements and also develop advanced automotive electronics. As China has matured, the automotive industry has become more globally competitive. Global vehicle platforms for the North America market could be designed in China, or vehicle platforms for Europe could be engineered in North America. It's a changing global world. Building a credible, world class engineering team in China is a key factor for future success. The process for establishing such a team and the steps to bring the team to the credible and world class standing is the subject of this paper and is discussed in detail below.
