Blade-vortex interaction(BVI) noise generated by the helicopter main rotor blades is one of the most important noise mechanisms both in military aspects and community acceptance. The effects of blade aeroelastic deformations on BVI noise generation mechanisms are investigated in terms of blade tip deflection, blade loading, and wake geometry. A comprehensive code (CAMRAD-JA) coupled with a finite difference code(FPR) has been used to assess the blade aeroelastic deformations by comparing the HART BO-105 test results. The rotor wake geometry, the blade tip deflection and the blade-vortex miss distance are strongly affected by the blade aeroelastic characteristics.
