The Blackwell Story

The Blackwell story tells of DuPage County's efforts to preserve scenic natural forests and wildlife for the education and recreation of the public. Instead of destroying man's natural surroundings, the Forest Preserve District met the challenge of preserving the environment with the construction of the Blackwell Preserve. By doing so, the Preserve became an outstanding example of the benefits of multiple use land management.
