Since the Bendix-Decca Navigator was first introduced on D-Day, its use and acceptance has grown to such an extent that there are nine chains of stations covering the greater part of Europe, three chains in operation and a fourth to be commissioned next month in Canada, and two shortly to begin transmitting in India. Over 4,000 ships and 400 fixedwing aircraft and helicopters, both civil and military, are equipped with receivers and daily using the system.
