- As motorcycle models become available in ever increasing variety and their life-span shrinks appreciably, motorcycle manufacturers find themselves compelled to integrate motorcycle assembly line functions into a more flexible system in their attempt to achieve efficacious automated assembly. To meet this requirement, we have lately laid out an assembly line system in which a greater degree of flexibility is made possible with 22 assembly robots and 14 automatic special-purpose machines. Methodology of this automated line concept and its relevant information are presented in this paper.
