Some Aspects of the Flying Crane

The yield of ton-miles per hour that can be expected from each ton of specialized crane is compared to that of internally loaded helicopters and helicopters being used as cranes. Considerations concerning the size of cranes are reviewed~ including the ferry problem. Finally, some questions concerning sling arrangements and the need for a winch are reviewed.
