Approaches to Data Processing for the Small Fleet

The small fleet manager should execute an approach to data processing in three phases. The first, called the why phase, consists of reasons for data processing. The second, the what phase, details what information is required by the fleet manager. Such data may originate in other departments, but the format and scheduling of the information should be determined by the fleet manager. The final phase determines how data processing will be applied to produce needed information from available data.
