- A key element to the successful in-service support of a jet engine is applying technological assets in a manner that adds value for the user. These assets are available in the form of new methods, processes, equipment and management systems. The challenge is to utilize them in a manner that clearly isolates and defines the problem at hand, employs imaginative adaptation to the control and provides a means for the customer to measure the cost effectiveness of the solution. Examples of unique applications of technology in the field of Inspection/ Control Programs, Repairs and Management Systems, which added value for the engine user are discussed.
