Authors Abstract
Content
Applying holographic interferometry, local instantaneous air fuel ratio has been measured in the evaporating fuel spray injected into the quiescent combustion space of a motored engine cylinder.
Application of similarity principles indicate how the technique might be applied to the scaling of actual engine processes, thereby facilitating their study on smaller experimental engines and isothermal “bombs”.
