A ballistic impact resistant composite structure with broadband radar absorbing capability is proposed, which can improve the stealth performance of military helicopter in complex electromagnetic environment and the ballistic resistance performance in harsh battlefield environment. It composed of aramid fiber fabrics that have good antiballistic performance and a single-layer frequency selective surface (FSS) film that enables absorption of radar waves. Genetic algorithm (GA) is used to optimize the structural parameters, and the FSS is fabricated by laser induced graphene (LIG) technique. Primary simulation results have demonstrated that in the case of vertical incidence of radar waves, the structure can achieve a reflectivity of less than -1 0dB in the frequency range of X band (8-12 GHz) and Ku band (12-18 GHz).
