Abstract
Content
The anatomy of the human respiratory system is detailed. The function of the entire system is shown from inspiration to expiration. Equations are given to illustrate flow-pressure relationships in the airways. Specifics of gas transfer are shown.
All these details of physiology and function are necessary for an understanding of the effects of air pollution upon the human respiratory system.
