The demanding missions of LHX require an analytical workload prediction process which supports a cost effective iterative design effort. To meet this requirement the workload prediction process must operate before heavy commitment to simulation or hardware and must function in the time constraints of the LHX design schedule. The process being employed by Sikorsky Aircraft to predict workload has a number of unique approaches which make possible rapid design development. The processes of Mission Analysis, Function Allocation, Task Analysis, Workload Prediction, and Iteration Control are described in this paper.
