- Increasing reservations about the consumption of fossil fuels due to their detrimental impact on our ecosystem has led to an increased focus to look for renewable alternative. In the last decade, biofuels have attracted much attention as a promising replacement for fossil fuel-based diesel, especially in the transportation sector. Biofuels are non-toxic, environmentally friendly, and carbon-free fuel that can be made from naturally available resources. Biofuel production and its further utilization requires identifying unknown parameters having nonlinear relationships between each other. Accurate and better predictive tools are required at different stages during its usage. AI technique is one such tool that can provide support during production and utilization. The same is utilized to design handle, control, optimize, and monitor the system. The present research investigates the different areas of AI usage which makes use of production modeling methods, machine learning for better predictions with the highest accuracy. This methodology is inspired by the brain’s autolearning and self-improving capability to solve the problems encountered. The research will present a review of these AI application taking help from literature from 2012 to 2024 to make decision for taking further suitable action with the help of one case study. Findings of the study suggests AI will play a major role in the near future and a strong demand will be seen for AI application in this evolving area.
