Authors Abstract
Content
In opposition to « C » or Gantry standard riveting machines well adapted to aero structure parts with large curve radii, the end-effectors offer the characteristic to find an industrial positioning for the realization of the majority of the other aero structure parts with smaller curve radii and sub-assemblies with limited access (leading edges, inlets assembly, pylons …).
Due to expected performances requirements (rates, reliability, evolutivity, traceability, cost …) more and more imposed by the airframe manufacturers and equipments suppliers, the new architectural developments are currently in full technological changes. The specificity of our approach is based on the intelligence of the coupling between the end-effector and the associated positioner offering very well adapted answers for guaranteeing low cycle times and technical performances independently of parts geometrical diversity and used materials.
