- Air transportation is no longer a luxury, but a way of life in an economy growing more global each day. For the future, efficiencies, as well as costs, will have an exponential impact on individual operators, the air transportation system, and ultimately, the U.S. economy. For these reasons, aircraft manufacturers, the management teams of the major carriers, and our government, must work together to find solutions to the complex issues facing the air transportation industry. If we intend to sustain the record growth we have enjoyed over the last decade, our shared mission, in the interest of the air travel customer, must be an unequivocal commitment to airworthiness.
