In this study, we present the development of an AI-enabled dashboard tailored to assess emissions and sustainability performance in the automotive sector, focusing on original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). This study uses the automotive industry as a pilot case because of its high energy intensity, extensive supply chains, and strong regulatory oversight on fleet emissions. The platform links corporate sustainability disclosures under SEBI’s Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting (BRSR) framework with climate and energy indicators to provide a consolidated view of manufacturing emissions, supply-chain footprints, and fleet-level CO₂ performance. Using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), the system can extract and structure information from unstructured OEM reports, which the system visualizes through automated Python-based analytics. India’s Energy Dashboard and global datasets are integrated to allow benchmarking across plants, powertrain mixes, and international peers. By first demonstrating the methodology in the automotive sector, the project provides a scalable model that can be extended to other energy-intensive industries(ex:- Minerals, Textiles, Petrochemical Industry, Cement Industry), thereby enabling data-driven compliance tracking, product planning, and long-term decarbonization strategies.
