Agenda for the 80's: OE - Aftermarket Cooperation

This paper will discuss the remanufacturing industry's response to component and vehicle design changes, with special emphasis on the product development process for remanufacturing. It will document, through engineering test results, the improvements made to existing OE component parts to provide more durable, easier to service vehicles.

In addition, this paper will recommend methods of evaluating the repairability and remanufacturability of OE vehicle parts prior to inclusion in new vehicles to assure cost-efficient repair and service.
