This study explores the aerodynamic performance of a conceptual multirotor eVTOL aircraft, inspired by the XPENG AeroHT X2 flying car. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations are employed to analyze the aircraft's behavior in both hover and forward flight conditions. A conservative sliding interface technique is employed to capture the relative motion between the rotors and fuselage, while high-order WENO schemes and a hybrid RANS-LES approach ensure accurate modeling of turbulent flows. The results of this research offer valuable insights for the development of future eVTOL designs, providing guidance on achieving efficient, stable, and safe urban air mobility solutions.
