Abstract

Content: This paper reviews briefly the widespread use of adhesives and gives reasons for their popularity. Common types of adhesives are presented with examples of their use. The life expectancy of adhesive bonds is briefly discussed. Some of the problems to be expected when converting to adhesive bonding are described.
